(Belated post by like 3 days!)) I only made it to the Renegade Handmade Holiday Fair for a couple of hours last Saturday, but yay was it fun! Tiny story-Nate and I were coming from a birthday party, and couldn’t find parking near our place, when we hopped back in to head to the fair. Crazy enough– it turned out to be on the block behind us! Talk about being just around the corner… All hail city living! Check out some of my fav artists:

1. cursive design– gorgeous! handmade lace adornments

handmade, hand dyed, statement earrings and necklaces for $30+… I wore these to my orchestra concert the next day and could barely dodge all the “love your earrings!” that were thrown my way. thanks, cursive!

2. fox & clover– modern handmade eco glassware

Says they’re inspired by animals, nature, and “the weather” (we have some to spare in Chicago!) these handpainted pieces are made on reused and recycled glass, and almost too pretty to eat off of. 

3. mean cards — some nasty, yes (but the best kind), also silly, fun, and ridiculously cute… I think I laughed nonstop at this booth until I read every single one– covers every occasion (or non) in a voice reserved only for your best (or worst) of comrades. Check out some of my favs– then scurry over to grab them at less than $3 each, or get one for all your loves as a set for cheap.
